vale do pereiro

A dwelling in a charming early 20th-century building, which had been distorted by different uses, including local accommodation and a medical clinic.

The project sought to restore the quality and nobility of the apartment, removing the alterations and all elements that detracted from the space, while responding to current comfort needs.

The dignity and quality of the original construction has been restored in its materials, architectural features and decorative elements: floors, skirting boards, carved ceilings, doors and shutters.

The kitchen was enlarged to become another social area. The typology of interconnected livingrooms was restored.

In the private area, the space was reorganised to conquer a large suite facing the garden.

New solutions and materials were imagined, playing freely with the restored existing elements, persisting in the idea of the nobility of the original space.
